It's true.

They grow up too fast. I just wanted to look at the difference between six or seven weeks and now. It's crazy. Thought everyone would like to see the transformation too.

Most Unique!

Yay! First off, Happy Eleven Weeks to Ethan! Secondly, today we went Trick Or Treating at the Auburn Publix Plaza. We wore our homemade dinosaur costumes and Ethan also had a dinosaur costume. We got some good candy. Got to see some old friends. Got stared at by everyone of course and tons of people wanted a picture. Yea yea, all that is exciting but the most exciting part of all. The costume contest! There were actually a lot of people for it and there were several divisions. Ethan was of course in the birth-3 years division which had probably thirty or so kids, probably more. There were several awards, Cutest costume, Scariest Costume, Best Overall, and Most Unique. The first reward called was Most Unique and as you may have guessed by the title, little Dinosaur Ethan won. His first costume contest and he already won! So we got a $25 Publix Gift Card. It was pretty amazing. We all had fun and I think Ethan actually enjoyed himself too. Of course there are pictures. Some of him in his racecar driver outfit, his eleven week picture and him in his costume! Until next time, we love you all!

And then...

Ethan and I starting from the bottom, my pumpkin face painting from the Trunk-A-Treat, Cinderella Pumpkin setup, and the graveyard. Ooohhh scary.

More fall fun pictures!

Going backwards again. G-Ma and me in front of Stone Mountain, Ethan chilling on the skylift, Ethan and Mommy on top of Stone Mountain, Ethan, Mommy, and Nana on top of Stone Mountain (it was cold and windy), crazy bubbles that all the kids were playing in and getting soaked in at the end of the corn maze. Made for tons of happy moms. Ha!

Fall Fun!

I have some pictures from the Stone Mountain Pumpkin Festival for you all to see. It was super fun and Ethan was good the whole time actually. He loved the bumpy train ride and the skylift and being on top of the mountain. And Ethan wants to clear the record for everybody and say that babies can do anything adults can do. He handled the skylift better than Nana. :) We also got seasons passes so we can go back more cause Nana and Gramps liked it! Yay! Ethan can't wait. Trunk-A-Treating was super fun too. Ethan got tons of attention and got to see his Auntie so of course he was happy. He just wanted to eat the candy though I think. Basically, it was an awesome weekend. If only Ethan could remember it all... Now for pictures! I'm gonna try uploading them directly on the post this time so let's see how that works.

So the story line goes backwards, starting down at the bottom. Ethan woke up wanting to be Superman, then you see him getting out of the car on his first trip to Stone Mountain, then getting a picture with Nana, Gramps, and Mommy in front of the little pumpkin pigs, and then smiling and sticking his tongue out of the train ride! Yay! I'll add another post with the rest!

Slow Motion

Also, due to a request for the slideshow to go slower or be stopped, it is now changed. If you move your mouse over the slideshow, a menu pops up that will allow you to skip to the next picture, go back to the previous picture and pause the show. Hope it is more convenient for you all.

Pictures!

Just wanted to let everyone know there are new pictures on the slideshow. Unfortunately, the slideshow only holds fifty pictures so as I add new ones, I will have to delete some old ones. We are supposed to be going to the pumpkin patch this weekend and trunk -a- treat at Andrea's church so I'm sure there will be more pictures from all of that. Expect an update after the weekend! We love you all!

2 Month Visit!

Today was not too bad. The most important information for you all is Ethan's new height and weight! The butterball now weighs 12 pounds 15 ounces, almost thirteen pounds, and is 23.5 inches. Almost two feet! And in case you were wondering, the circumference of his head is 16 inches! He's in the seventy-fifth percentile for everything which they said was great. As for the shots, those did not go so well. He did not like those and it is thus far the worse thing I've had to go through being a mother. The look on the poor guys face was heart-breaking. Luckily, ten seconds after his shots, he was back to normal and forgot it all happened. He also wasn't very happy with them checking his heart, ears, eyes, and down under region. But he was a good boy so Eric and I picked him out a nice sticker at checkout. It's Scooby Doo. They said Ethan might run a fever for the next day after his shots which I'm not looking forward to. He just now went to sleep at like three thirty; four hours after he got his shots. Now he has to go back December 15th to do it all again. As long as he is healthy though! Another thing that I'm excited about and I'm sure Ethan is too is that we got approved for a Disney credit card with Mickey Mouse on it! And we get Disney rewards for using it! Yay! But now he's waking back up so I'm going to play with him before school this evening! We love you all!

Stinky, stinky, stinky!

So today we started Ethan on baby food. Yea yea, the pediatricians say no but this kid is drinking so much formula, it can't possibly be healthy. So we started him with bananas today and that stuff does not smell like the bananas I eat and I am not about to find out if it tastes the same. He seemed to like it though, it was fun to watch his reaction. I thought formula was messy in the past but goodness, that baby food is uber messy and it's only gonna get worse. Lol. Oh well, it's exciting! Once he finished bananas, we still have pears, peaches, and applesauce to try. Hopefully he likes them all! And tomorrow is Ethan's two month birthday already and this Wednesday he gets his two month immunizations. Pray those go well. I'm so not looking forward to that. Poor bugger. Hopefully there will be a good update that day.

Portrait Day

Today was family picture day and I have to say it was exciting. I was afraid things wouldn't go so well considering it rained and poured all day but my hair escaped the frizziness and everyone stayed dry! Yay! While waiting for our pictures to be done, Eric and I wondered how in the world all the babies were so calm in their pictures. We knew our baby was not the only one who cried. So we soon figured that out because our little munchkin decided he wanted to be grumpy for his photo shoot. Fortunately, the photographers were pros at capturing the peaceful moments even though they were rare and short lived. It's all about teasing the baby, they give him his binky (or plug as Mamaw Mary calls it) or bottle for a minute then take it away and click. Pretty genius I thought. I thought modeling came natural to Ethan but I guess he wanted to be stubborn. We got some family portraits of course and then lots of individual ones of him, including ones in his pumpkin costume! They are absolutely beautiful! I'm not the most photogenic so I of course don't like many of the ones I'm included in but the ones with him are incredible. I don't even know how to describe them. I can't wait to show everybody. It was overall a fun day. As if it wasn't great enough, we got an awesome deal on our pictures. It was their training time, which we weren't aware of. And that means, all of their portrait packages were half off, we got free sitting fees, AND four free sheets. So we got tons of pictures to share for ninety bucks and only had to pay a little over twenty out of pocket cause we had a gift card. I'm stoked to get them in. Also, in ten days which will be around the 18th, you can all view them online and also order some of your own copies if you wish. We tried to get enough to share with everyone but it was kinda hard. So if you go to www.smilesbywire.com and type in Chole Milligan (yes, they spelled my name wrong) and the access code LTPP0731101699JCP, you can see them before they even come in. So check them out!

Grand Opening!

So I am trying to not be so selfish. I have decided to share my pride and joy with everyone else. I get to spend every day with him so the least I could do is show those who care what we spend our days doing. A typical day with Ethan and I is I guess how a typical day for any mom and her newborn is. There's never a routine schedule. He has decided to let mommy sleep through the night and wakes up around 5 or 6 A.M. Not Mommy's best time of day but when I see that smile, it's worth the bags under the eyes. Then he is awake pretty much all day from then on with the occasional little nap. They say it's impossible to spoil a newborn but I am going to have to disagree. He's pretty spoiled. He likes to try to crawl around and walk and dance. He's a smart and strong little man. He has the cutest dimples when he smiles, I can't wait until I can finally catch it on camera. My thoughts are pretty random as you can see. I will try to get better. Overall, my thoughts on being a new mom are splendid. My baby is the bees-knees (yes, I'm aware that is an old word from the twenties but I like it). The best thing about being a mommy is being able to see the world through a child's eyes again. You learn to embrace each moment that much more, the pureness and innocence of it. The worst thing about being a mommy is looking into your baby's eyes and knowing that one day he's gonna grow up and leave you one day. I just hope he stays close to me and loves me regardless and I hope to see him succeed and know that I did a good job as a mother.
