Happy 24 Weeks to Mr. Ethan!

Ethan has been doing good. He's trying to sit up a lot now. He also likes to lay on his side like a model as you can see. Enjoy ladies. Haha. He's still putting everything in his mouth including his feet and everything he's not supposed to have but still no teeth. Soon hopefully! He had mac and cheese for dinner tonight, something new for him. Didn't smell the best, but he liked it. And he got to try yogurt juice! He also likes to entertain himself a lot now and ignore mommy and is a pro at making airplane noises. He does that a lot and spits everywhere too. It's the cutest of course. Before I was a Mom,
I never tripped over toys
or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not
my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.

Before I was a Mom,

I had never been puked on.
Pooped on.
Chewed on.
Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind
and my thoughts.
I slept all night.

Before I was a Mom,
I never held down a screaming child
so doctors could do tests.
Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night
watching a baby sleep.

Before I was a Mom,
I never held a sleeping baby just because
I didn't want to put her down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces
when I couldn't stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so small
could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.

Before I was a Mom,
I didn't know the feeling of
having my heart outside my body.
I didn't know how special it could feel
to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond
between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small
could make me feel so important and happy.

Before I was a Mom,
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night
every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth,
the joy,
the love,
the heartache,
the wonderment
or the satisfaction of being a Mom..
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much,
before I was a Mom.

23 Weeks Old!

Hello Blue Eyes! Ethan is 23 weeks old now! Well as of Thursday anyways, I'm late again. Sorry, but better late than never as they say. We took Ethan to the doctor yesterday cause we were afraid he had an ear infection but the doctor said he was okay. Just a runny nose and he may be teething. But he weighed 16 lbs. 10 oz. but that was also on an empty stomach. His bottle is 8 oz. plus he eats food for breakfast so if he had already had all of that then he would have been over 17 pounds for sure. Next appointment is February 16th so you will all get a weight and length update then! Can't wait. He's still trying to crawl but still hasn't gotten there yet. He has started eating his feet and likes to do it when you try to change his diaper especially. He talks more and more and is definitely a pro at rolling over. We now have a mommy stroller walking club so he gets to interact with other people and other babies every day at the park. And he's actually good every time, he slept today while we walked. But he is doing great so you all know. Enjoy and take care until next time!

Happy 22 weeks to Ethan!

Sorry it's late, but Ethan is now 5 months old/22 weeks old/156 days. Wow! Sounds like a lot when you put it that way. He's getting cuter everyday as you can see and for once we have a happy picture instead of a serious one! Yay! So enjoy and take care!

Happy 21 Weeks Ethan, 5 months soon!

I finally got my haircut, yay! Then there's Ethan's 21 week picture! Ethan tries to hold his spoon now while I'm feeding him by the way, it gets messy. He has also moved on to 2nd stage foods so he has more variety, I think that makes him happy. He actually had prunes tonight and liked them. Hmm...well at least he likes it. Ha! And then there's Ethan with almost all of his toys in the floor playing. His power tool was the winner for the moment, thank you Auntie Andrea! Ha! Anyways, Ethan is trying to crawl more and more everyday and I have a feeling anyday that he will be doing it. Yay! Maybe. :) He also grabs at everything, he can pick up his own pacifier and put it in his mouth, not always the right way, but he tries. It's super cute but everything he does is cute of course. For once, Ethan did not stay up past midnight. He partied too hard and passed out before the ball dropped. I guess it's cause he's getting older. No more "teens", he's 20 weeks old today! Yay!
